After the success of the inaugural disability sports festival last year, CMA Video were once again commissioned to film the 2014 Birmingham Disability Sports Fest as well as take the official photographs of the event.
Taking place at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, this year’s event featured Wimbledon wheelchair tennis doubles winner Jordanne Whiley as the VIP guest who also opened the festival. The London 2012 Paralympic bronze medallist was interviewed by the CMA Video crew after making a speech at the opening ceremony. This year the launch event featured activities for people to take part in which included cycling, swimming, football, badminton and electronic rifle shooting amongst others.
Also in attendance were the English Federation for Disability Sport, Bike Birmingham, West Bromwich Albion FC, Aston Villa FC, Birmingham County FA, Headway, Mencap and UK Deak Sport. Organised by Birmingham Sport and Physical Activity Trust the event showcased some of the sports activities that will be taking place during the week long sports festival.
CMA Video’s photography department was also commissioned to take photos at the event with Chris Roberts capturing all of the action from a stills perspective to complement the event video production as well.
