CMA Video has entered into its first ever commercial sponsorship deal this month with Birmingham’s biggest Twitter networking hour – #BrumHour. Its not a decision we have taken lightly but we felt that it was time to try a different approach to marketing and awareness for the CMA Video brand.
There were several options that we considered but after assessing our requirements, target markets and needs, we found that BrumHour was the outstanding choice. The award-winning blog and social media networking hour, founded in 2013 by Dave Massey, has become the voice of Birmingham and a hugely influential platform in the city.
The reach and audience of #BrumHour is very similar to our target market particularly in regards to the £500 video offer that we have developed along with our digital marketing service. We have been active on Sunday night’s Twitter networking from 8pm to 9pm and with the social reach of nearly one million users per month it offers an unbelievable opportunity to present the CMA Video brand on an unprecedented scale.
We have also worked with Dave’s other initiatives including Birmingham Social Media Café’s Brum Night Cafe where our marketing director, Adam Snelleksz, gave a talk on video marketing.
Talking about our sponsorship deal, Adam said:
“We are delighted to be sponsoring Sunday night’s BrumHour on Twitter for the month of June. It’s a new direction for us and it represents an exciting opportunity for CMA Video. To be connected to one of the most influential brands in Birmingham is fantastic and we really believe that it can help to take the CMA brand to another level in the city.”
Users of #BrumHour on Twitter will see our name featured in key tweets from Dave during the networking hour of 8pm to 9pm. In addition, our specially designed content will also be seen in pre-promotion and advertising tweets posted from the BrumHour account in the build up to Sunday night’s activity.
